Testing Instruments
Testing is performed on the finished film to confirm that it has all of the performance properties that the material is supposed to provide. Testing confirms that the pretreatment process is working correctly, providing the necessary properties to the substrate prior to coating application. Testing also confirms that the powder has been properly applied and cured. Initial testing of a coating process is used to establish a standard. Periodic testing is done to confirm that the process is able to maintain the standard. Panels for coating tests are run through the washer and then coated the same as production parts. The panels are usually aged for 24 hours at room temperature prior to testing.
